About The Event

Earn and Sell at VIT Pune, organized by V-EDC, allows you to kickstart your entrepreneurial journey with an on-campus experience.

The event has two main stages. The first is the pitching round, where competitors pitch their ideas to secure investments from the E-cell.
The investments can then be used by the qualifying teams to start an actual business on the college campus for a day.
Before these competition rounds, a workshop, that is free for all, will be conducted to teach interested students about pitching ideas and receive guidance on effectively presenting their ideas in front of investors.
The final round has a prize pool of ₹14,000, with ₹5,000 for the winner, and ₹3,000 each for "Best Execution", "Best Idea", and "People's Favorite".
Thus, this event provides you with the platform to showcase your entrepreneurial skills and learn from various mentors and peers.

HOW TO REGISTER
Earn and Sell, organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell at VIT Pune, is an event that replicates real-world business scenarios.
  1. Login to VIERP - Access your account on the VIERP platform.
  2. Go to the event section - Open the event section present on the Dashboard of VIERP.
  3. Click on "Pay Event Fees" - Select the option to pay event fees from the menu.
  4. Select the event - Choose the option “Earn And Sell” for the payment.
  5. Pay the event fees - Select the payment method and pay the event fees.
  6. Download the receipt - Take a screenshot of the payment receipt and submit it as instructed for confirmation.

Schedule of the event

24th Jan Workshop - 1
The initial stage of the event will serve as an educational opportunity for all Teams. During this phase, an experienced speaker will provide detailed guidance on the upcoming rounds and offer insights to help participants optimize their business plans.
27-28th Jan Round - 1
In this phase, teams will engage in an investor pitch. All participating teams will present their business ideas, and the top 12 teams with promising concepts will advance to the second round. These selected teams will receive an investment of Rs. 2000 from E-Cell VIT Pune.
31th Jan
Round - 2
This phase represents the practical execution of the business models, where 12 teams will be provided with designated stalls (tents) and tasked with selling their products to fellow college students. Teams will operate within a time limit of 8 hours. This round offers cash prizes in various categories, including recognition for the best business idea, best execution, the people’s choice award, and the overall winner.

RULES

Rules And Regulations

Round 1 will be similar to the Shark Tank show, where every team will be given 10 minutes to pitch their entire idea through a presentation. Jury will evaluate the team’s idea, pitch about the idea, and understand their ability to run their business model for a day in college

Teams qualifying for the Round 2 will be given an amount of Rs. 4000 as an investment by the V-EDC, and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be signed, which will include the conditions each team will have to follow

Round 2 will involve the actual implementation of the team's business model within the college campus from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Every team has to preserve all the bills and invoices related to the purchase of raw materials and should maintain a proper tabular order book to calculate total number of customers they serve.
